PI Difference
The following tool can help create a compare in two PI mappings to find the difference between them. This tool gives a easy way to compare two different mappings side by side, use the same notation as the documentation tool has.
To use the tool simply follow this procedure.
- Export you mapping as an XIM file. This is done by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ 0 and then save the file to a location.
- Export the old mappings XIM file. It is possible to find the old version using history function on the mapping.
- Upload the two XIM files to the website using the form below.
- Open the Excel file you are redirected to.
- It is now possible to examine the two mappings side by side.
An example can be seen here. But try the tool with your own mappings.
This tool has been released as open source. With this you can modify the templates and run the system on your own PC. See the products page for more information.
