Release 2609: A stronger foundation, plus a clearer view of your B2B communications

October 1, 2026 · 1 min read

In this release, we have focused on upgrading the Figaf platform to the latest versions of its dependencies. The main focus isn’t new features. It’s work we need to do, for two reasons.

Security. We want to stay ahead of security issues found in the packages we depend on. The way Figaf is set up makes the known issues hard to exploit, but at some point a widespread vulnerability will appear that we have to fix quickly. When that happens, we want to update a single package, not everything at once.

New functionality. The upgrade also lays the groundwork for improving our authentication.

B2B improvements

See every communication endpoint in one view. The communications view now shows endpoint details for SFTP, IDoc, AS2 and ProcessDirect. You get an immediate overview of all communications across purposes and environments, which makes it quick to consolidate and verify what is configured in your systems.

Transport security artifacts for Company and Subsidiaries. We have improved the DevOps transport of security artifacts for Company and Subsidiaries. You can now consolidate all system configuration in one source tenant and transport it safely through your landscape to production.

This makes managing AS2 for your partners much easier.

Smaller improvements

  • The content conversion Groovy script used in migrations now handles key fields that aren’t in the first position
  • Mass updates of tickets are simpler to run
  • Archived landscapes are hidden in the landscape overview
  • Adding modules is improved in SAP PI testing
  • Move to session based authentication to improve security
