Migration, migration, migration and news from SAP

Can a complex SAP PI/PO migration really be accelerated?

Week 27 · July 3, 2026 · 3 min read

We have always believed that the fastest way to know whether a tool fits is to run it on your own systems, not to sit through another demo.

So this July we’re trying something new. We’re offering SAP integration teams a complimentary 4-hour working session with a Figaf expert.

Here’s how the four hours break down:

  • Installation. We get Figaf running in your own landscape, not a sandbox.
  • Migration. A hands-on walkthrough of how Figaf moves PI/PO to Integration Suite.
  • DevOps. Transport, testing, monitoring and documentation, on your systems.
  • Business case groundwork. We work through the numbers together so you’ve got the building blocks to make the case internally.

It’s a real working session, so it asks something of you too; plan for a few hours of prep on your side before we meet.

The offer runs in July only, we can only take a limited number of teams, and we review every application.

If you run SAP PI/PO or Integration Suite and you’ve been meaning to take a proper look at Figaf, this is the cheapest your time will ever buy.

SAP CI extension: adding horizontal layouts to message mappings

Message mappings tend to get a messy layout when they contain a lot of functions.

In a new Technology blog post, Phos shows how you can bring the familiar “Arrange Horizontally” functionality from iFlows to Message Mappings.

By leveraging the same Eclipse Layout Kernel (ELK) technology used by SAP, he demonstrates how to automatically organize complex mappings into a much cleaner and more readable layout, making life easier for both you and your colleagues.

SAP reorganizes Product & Engineering to accelerate AI

SAP has announced a major reorganization of its Product & Engineering organization, effective July 1, 2026. The changes bring together the teams behind the new Business AI Platform, Autonomous Suite, and core engineering under new leadership, with the goal of accelerating AI innovation and creating a more unified platform strategy.

According to Robert Holland, Vice President and Research Director, SAPinsider, customers are unlikely to see immediate changes in their day-to-day work. However, large organizational shifts can create short-term execution risks and internal distractions while the new structure settles.

It’s interesting to see how much SAP is investing in aligning its organisation around AI. Whether this new structure will make a significant difference for customers remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a signal that SAP sees AI and platform consistency as strategic priorities for the years ahead.
