Moving B2B from SAP PI to Trading Partner Management in SAP Integration Suite? Every agreement needs its partner, subsidiary, MIGs, MAGs and agreement templates in place before you can even start your migration. And when there are hundreds of agreements, the real question is how you move them all without every developer building them differently.

We have made two new videos that show how Figaf and FAID (Figaf AI-Driven) do it. Start with the short introduction:

Quick, robust, manageable and scalable

With Figaf and FAID, the move is:

  • Quick: read every PI agreement in one click, and pick your scope.
  • Robust: FAID agents check every agreement, create the missing partners, MIGs, MAGs and agreement templates, and link them. Where they are not sure, a person decides.
  • Manageable: a work plan for every agreement, with owners, estimates and waves, linked to the migration, the test and the ticket.
  • Scalable: ten agreements or five thousand, all standard SAP objects, created the same way every time.

The whole process in 5 minutes

In the longer walkthrough we take one real partner, Fingerdrop, with five entities and ten EDIFACT order agreements, from SAP PI all the way to a migration plan:

  1. Read and plan. The PI TPM Migration Planner, a FAID App, reads every agreement from SAP PI without changing anything. Pick your scope and plan it in waves.
  2. Make every agreement ready. Three FAID agents do the work:
    • The Link agent finds the operation mapping, trading partner, subsidiary and agreement template.
    • The Scope Builder creates missing MIGs, MAGs and agreement templates.
    • The Create Partner agent creates missing trading partners, as long as it is as sure as you allow.
  3. Get a work plan. The ten agreements become forty tasks (analysis, development, testing and cutover) with owners and effort estimates.
  4. Migrate. Migrate with the Figaf tool, and link every task to its migration record, B2B scenario, test case and ticket.

We only enhance SAP standard - we never replace it

Every partner, MIG, MAG and agreement template that Figaf and FAID create is a standard SAP Integration Suite object. You keep working in SAP’s own Trading Partner Management; Figaf just makes getting there faster and the result consistent.
